John Lewis sales up 4.8% last week

John Lewis & Partners increased its sales by 4.8% year-on-year last week as the department store benefited from customers taking advantage of its Easter promotions.

Fashion sales climbed by 10.4% after new season ranges encouraged shoppers to buy items for the warmer weather and Easter getaways. Menswear sales were up 10.7% due to seasonal promotions on a selection of brands.
