Womens fashion retailer Jigsaw is to open a new flagship store at the Grosvenor Estates new Duke Street development in Londons Mayfair.
Jigsaw, which has over 60 stores across the UK, has taken a 5,500 sq ft store at 57-63 Duke Street. The shop will be the anchor unit of a wider retail, residential and leisure scheme and will become Jigsaw’s West End flagship store.
The store will feature a new retail concept for Jigsaw and will sell a curated selection of international design across womenswear, menswear, beauty and lifestyle brands as well as the full Jigsaw product offering. There will also be an in-store café operated by Fernandez & Wells.
Peter Ruis, chief executive of Jigsaw Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with Grosvenor and are looking forward to creating a unique and radical destination within the West End. Our intention is to deliver the “must-visit” store for both international and domestic style arbiters.”
Rebeca Guzman of commercial property consultants CBRE said: “We are delighted to have secured Jigsaw Group as the anchor retailer at Duke Street. The letting will provide a mix of eclectic and international brands which will sit alongside other fresh and contemporary retailers in a distinctive new shopping destination for North Mayfair. This letting sets the tone for Duke Street to become a new contemporary fashion destination that will bring a new customer to Mayfair.”
The new store will open in the Spring. It will be followed later in the year by the launch of the Beaumont Hotel, Grosvenor’s first hotel development, as part of plans to develop Duke Street and North Mayfair as a leading retail destination for contemporary fashion brands.
Helen Franks, head of retail leasing for Grosvenor’s London estate, said: “The vision for Duke Street was to create an exciting scheme that links the retail offer on Mount Street to that on Oxford Street, especially complementing the offering at Selfridges. Jigsaw Group’s strategy and aspiration for their store is a perfect fit and I am thrilled that they have chosen to open at Duke Street.”
