Jaeger strengthens e-commerce team with new hires
Premium fashion retailer Jaeger has appointed former Mothercare digital executive Simon Spencelayh as head of e-commerce as part of plans to strengthen its e-commerce team.
Due to join Jaeger later this month, Spencelayh will oversee investment in the retailer’s mobile and online platforms and drive greater integration between its digital and in-store offer.
Spencelayh was formerly head of e-commerce at Mothercare and prior to that worked with Amazon and Dixons Stores Group.
In two further appointments, Mothercare has hired David Hobson as creative digital consultant and former Conde Nast deputy editor Rachel Sullivan as e-commerce senior editor.
Sullivan will work to strengthen Jaeger’s online editorial and social media strategy while Hobson will focus on improving the retailer’s website functionality.
Chief executive Colin Henry said: "Jaeger online continues to be a critical area of focus for us as the convergence between our freestanding stores and online business continues."
