Jacobs develops multi-channel experience with Maginus MCC

MCC, a Microsoft Dynamics AX solution, will be implemented in all 17 UK stores, including Epos lanes, as well as in the back office and central distribution centre. MCC also provides a fully integrated e-Commerce solution replacing the existing Jacobs transactional website, so all sales channels will be
centred on a single solution for an improved customer experience, increasing efficiency & productivity. The solution is highlyscaleable and will continue to support the company as it grows. Maginus is also hosting MCC through its fully managed specialist Retail-Hosting datacenter which provides scalability and flexibility as seasonal demand changes.

Jacobs required a flexible solution that would integrate business processes providing visibility and increased efficiency. MCC will enable Jacobs to provide a true multi-channel experience, with the aim of positioning it as the leading specialist photographic company in the UK.

Elliott Jacobs, General Manager, at Jacobs, said, “Our customer service offering is a top priority and even though we already provide an excellent service, we are always looking for ways to improve this even further. We went through a careful selection process, as this software is an investment in the future of the company. We liked the Dynamics platform and reviewed a number of dynamics suppliers, and Maginus impressed us with its expert understanding of our multi-channel challenges. We required a solution that would not only provide support, but had the capability to grow with the company and continue to improve our services and MCC had the capability to deliver.”

He continued, “Maginus was able to offer a straightforward, user friendly solution that will enable us to speed up the delivery of critical information to the front line so we can react faster to changing environments.”

Russell Dorset, Sales and Marketing Director, Maginus, said, “ We are excited to be working with Jacobs, a growing leading specialist retailer and feel we areuniquely placed to offer a fully integrated retail centric solution covering all elements of a Multi-channel solution; EPOS, ERP, e-commerce and hosting, to help support the business as it develops. The technology has the capability to assists businesses across divisions such as sales & marketing, warehousing, procurement, financial management, project accounting, human resource management and service management departments.”
