Jace Tyrrell returns to New West End Company to spearhead new growth era and property BID
New West End Company, the organisation responsible for the management and promotion of London¬ís Bond Street, Oxford Street and Regent Street, has appointed Jace Tyrrell to the newly created role of managing director - external affairs.
Tyrrell will report to New West End Company chief executive Richard Dickinson in his new position and will be responsible for retail-led strategic communications, public affairs and consumer marketing across London’s core West End retail streets.
Having previously been New West End Company’s director of communications for nine years until last year, Tyrrell was approached about the role which includes heading up the organisation's development of a new property BID later this year.
On the property BID, Tyrrell will report directly to New West End Company’s board which includes property organisations Great Portland Estate, The Crown Estate, Derwent London, Frogmore, Land Securities and Grosvenor.
Commenting on the appointment Dickinson said: “Jace Tyrrell was an obvious candidate for the job, possessing unrivalled knowledge of London’s major stakeholder organisations, BIDs, election campaign strategies and critically the property industry. His role will enable New West End Company to drive the interests of property owners and retailers to ensure that the West End continues to be the most exciting shopping destination in the world.”
Taking up his new role by the autumn, Tyrrell will join from City Property Association and Westminster Property Association where he is executive director.
Tyrrell said: “To be at the forefront of dynamic developments for the area, including the launch of the new property BID, and the responsibility for directing New West End Company’s ambitious strategic marketing plans, is one of the most exciting jobs in London.
