Ironmongery Direct appoints merchandising manager

Ironmongery Direct has appointed Edward Patten to the newly created position of merchandising manager.

The online and mail order supplier of ironmongery products said that Patten would be responsible for enhancing the customer shopping experience in his new role while providing day-to-day quality assurance for all products in stock.

With over 20 years experience in merchandising, Patten previously worked with Speciality Coffee Association of Europe where he held a leading role in the development of sales at exhibition level and via the company’s e-commerce website.

Wayne Lysaght-Mason, managing director of Ironmongery Direct, said: “Edward is joining Ironmongery Direct at a very exciting time for the company. With his extensive understanding and experience of brands and user experience, Edward could not be a better choice for the future development of the business.”

Patten added: “My aims include developing a strong and talented merchandising team, which will strive to advance our customers’ experience and continue to grow the business further.”
