At intu Metrocentre, Shelley Sandzer’s role is specifically on the Qube extension, a ￡17 million project to extend the current catering offer at the centre. The Qube extension will be home to seven new restaurants and four smaller catering units, which, combined will create a contemporary dining destination totaling 45,000 sq ft. The new brands will join existing operators including Nando’s, YoSushi!, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Wagamama, Zizzi and Pizza Express.
Shelley Sandzer is also responsible for leasing the new 76,000 sq ft dining quarter planned for the intu Eldon Square in Newcastle city centre which will include 20 restaurants over two floors. In a prime location in the heart of the city, the restaurant quarter is close to popular attractions and benefits from strong transport links.
