Intu Metrocentre signs up Guess for its first north east store

Premium fashion brand Guess is to launch its first store in the north east of England at Intu Metrocentre in Gateshead.

Currently operating 12 stores in the south and north west of the UK, Guess will launch a 3,853 square foot store at the centre in the summer.

Other luxury brands at Intu Metrocentre include Flannels, Kurt Geiger and Tessuti. In addition, BOSS joined the line-up earlier this month.

Kate Grant, regional director at Intu, said: “Guess will be the second international fashion brand to launch at Intu Metrocentre this year, reflecting the confidence that exists in the centre and the north east region as a place where overseas and aspirational retailers can flourish.

“Our ongoing investment in the centre is continuing to attract these aspirational brands and bringing a smile to the increasing number of affluent shoppers visiting Intu Metrocentre.”
