Hobbycraft has bolstered it management team with two new hires as it works to complete its business turnaround programme.
The company has appointed Katherine Paterson as customer development director with responsibility for developing and implementing the company’s multi-channel strategy. Paterson was previously marketing director at DIY retailer B&Q.
In the second appointment James Heese has taken up the position of trading director where he will oversee the company’s sourcing, buying and product development functions. Heese previously worked at Argos where he was trading director for toys, jewellery and leisure.
Commenting on the appointments, Hobbycraft chief executive Catriona Marshall said: "As Hobbycraft enters the final stage of its business transformation programme, James’ and Katherine’s priority will be to develop and implement a customer centric multi-channel strategy and introduce new product development and sourcing strategy.
"This will allow us to develop a stronger brand identity for Hobbycraft that encourages all ages and abilities to get crafty and take pleasure in making things themselves."
