HMV runs ad campaign to push tech products
HMV has created a new TV ad to promote its expanded personal technology range which is being rolled out across the retailer's 250 stores.
The range, which features products such as Beats by Dr Dre headphones, Samsung Galaxy tablets, and a TDK 2-speaker boombox, will also be promoted through a wider campaign that takes in radio, national and consumer press advertising, in-store and window displays, online, mobile, and social media.
The ad was developed in conjunction with HMV's brand agency Venturethree and will start airing from today and over the weekend across terrestrial and digital channels. Updated versions of the advert highlighting different HMV special offers and products will be released during the next few weeks and in the run-up to Christmas.
Over the past few months HMV has significantly expanded its personal technology offer as it struggles to maintain sales of its core product offering. HMV said around a quarter of its retail space is now dedicated to tech devices and accessories from brands such as Apple, Beats by Dre, Bose, Samsung, Sennheiser, Skullcandy, Sony and TDK.
