HMV confident of meeting full year forecasts
HMV has reported a sharp decline in fourth quarter like for like sales but says it is on track to meet full year forecasts.
HMV UK & Ireland total sales fell 8.2% in the 16 weeks ended 24 April 2010, with like for like sales down 13.2%.
"This reflects very strong comparatives in this period in the previous two years, reduced levels of campaign activity this year combined with the impact of severe weather at the beginning of the period," HMV said.
