HMV appoints managing director for relaunched loyalty programme
HMV owner Hilco has appointed Dan Truscott as managing director of the entertainment retailers Pure customer loyalty programme which is due to relaunch in early October.
Having worked in the the customer loyalty sector for the last ten years, Truscott worked most recently with Barclaycard where he was head of business development for partnerships and loyalty and, subsequently, head of merchant acquisition.
At HMV, Truscott will be responsible for relaunching HMV’s Pure customer loyalty programme in the UK as well as updating the scheme in Canada, adding to the work already completed by the team at HMV Canada over the last 12 months.
Xtra-vision, Ireland’s largest entertainment retailer, and the new HMV Ireland business, due to be launched in September, will also join the Pure programme which will carry new branding.
HMV chairman Paul McGowan said: “We are very pleased to have recruited somebody of Dan’s calibre to develop and grow the customer loyalty programme. This appointment demonstrates our commitment to reenter and grow the Pure customer loyalty service and to properly engage with our customer base which already numbers over five million registered members.”
