H&M enters Peru
High street fashion retailer H&M has opened its first store in Peru.
More than 2,000 H&M fans queued for the launch in the country’s Jockey Plaza mall. Spanning three floors, the store is one of the brand’s biggest in the world and sells both fashion and homewares.
Macu Alfaro, country manager of H&M in Peru, said: “We are very happy and thankful for the great response of our Peruvian customers, and at the same time very excited that our entrance in Peru has become a reality.”
The opening was marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Alfaro, H&M chief executive Karl-Johan Persson, and store manager Juan Pablo Delgado.
H&M is also planning to open new stores in Macau, South Africa and India in 2015.
