Harrods appoints new fashion directors to replace chief merchant Marigay McKee
Luxury department store Harrods has promoted two members of its internal team to the roles of fashion director as a means of replacing former chief merchant Marigay McKee.
Helen David, who was previously general merchandise manager of womenswear and fine jewellery, has become fashion director of womenswear, accessories, fine jewellery and childrenswear. In a second appointment, Jason Broderick has been promoted to fashion director for menswear, sports and watches, having previously been general merchandising manager for the categories.
In their new roles, Broderick and David will both report to Harrods managing director Michael Ward.
“We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Helen David to fashion director of womenswear, accessories, fine jewellery and childrenswear and Jason Broderick to fashion director of menswear, sports and fine watches,” said Ward. “Both are excellent merchants, with an exceptional eye for luxury, playing an integral part in developing the world class offer that Harrods is known for.”
Marigay McKee announced her departure from Harrods in September due to her appointment as the new president of the iconic Saks Fifth Avenue department store in New York.
