Halfords names Rob Swyer as retail director

Car parts and cycle retailer Halfords has appointed Pets at Home executive Rob Swyer as its new retail director.

Joining Halfords on 3 April, Swyer will replace Kevin Thomas who as Halfords operations director was responsible for the company’s retail division.

Swyer has been business development director of Pets at Home since June 2010. Prior to that he held senior roles at Asda and Mars.

Commenting on the appointment  Halford chief executive Matt Davies said: "I’m delighted that Rob is joining us. He brings with him a wealth of experience from leading retail companies, coupled with a clear track record of implementing service-based retail offers that deliver great experiences for customers."

"I look forward to working with him on the next stage of Halfords’ journey and particularly the expert help and service we provide in-store."
