Grita Loebsack takes up senior role at Kering

Kering has named Grita Loebsack as the chief executive of its Luxury - Couture & Leather Goods emerging brands division.

Reporting directly to Kering chairman and chief executive, François-Henri Pinault, Loebsack will see the chief executives of Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Brioni, Christopher Kane, Stella McCartney and Tomas Maier report to her.

The division also includes Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Saint Laurent, which will remain under Pinault’s direct supervision.

Loebsack was previously executive vice-president of Global Skin Care at Unilever and is a former managing director of L’Oréal, UK and Ireland. In her new role, she will be responsible for advising the brands on their strategic and operational issues to help implement best practice and reinforce the "culture of excellence" across the group’s luxury activities.

Pinault said: “I am delighted to welcome Grita Loebsack to this role. I am convinced that her strong, international background will allow us to further develop the brands under her supervision, while identifying and achieving value-creation synergies.”
