Golden Square recognised for best use of digital marketing
The shopping centre snapped up the top award for Best Use of Digital Marketing in the British Council of Shopping Centre’s Purple Apple Marketing Awards. Golden Square’s winning campaign included the creation of a new fashion website, e-newsletters, a mobile site and a surge in social media engagement which resulted in a 66% increase in Facebook likes and a 317% rise in Twitter followers.
The shopping centre was also recognised for its community campaign ‘Get Creative’, while its Summer Camp was given recognition in the best event category.
Golden Square’s general manager, Ian Cox said: “We’ve worked especially hard on our digital strategy over the last couple of years and it has paid off.
“Winning this award and being merited for our other entries shows our dedication to providing an enjoyable and diverse shopping experience.”
The BCSC Purple Apple Marketing Awards recognise new industry standards in innovation, delivery and performance within retail marketing across the UK.
