Fort Kinnaird welcomes raft of new brands
Edinburgh’s Fort Kinnaird shopping centre has secured a raft of new lettings.
Gibraltar Limited Partnership and British Land have announced that the new signings, which include some retailers who have moved to bigger stores in the centre, include JD Sports, Schuh and Schuh Kids, Waterstones, Office, Starbucks, Card Factory, O2, Tui, Currys PC World, Oak Furniture Land, Wilko and Tapi Carpets.
In addition to the new lettings, Perfume Shop, Vision Express, Clarks and Carphone Warehouse have all extended their leases.
James Varley, asset manager for British Land, said: “The scale of these lettings, with a number of leading brands choosing to locate their flagship stores with us, is a great endorsement of the work we have done at Fort Kinnaird to enhance the environment for our customers. Our understanding of the way people shop, grounded in data analytics, is enabling us to respond to their needs with a targeted retail and leisure mix, as well as space to relax and be entertained.”
Fort Kinnaird has seen its footfall increase and has extended its trading hours following the opening of a 57,000 square foot leisure quarter and a bespoke 39,000 square foot Primark.
The centre has a catchment of 840,000 people and features 66 shopping and leisure brands including Next, River Island, Boots and Currys.
