FatFace appoints Liz Evans as chief executive

Lifestyle clothing brand FatFace has appointed Liz Evans as its new chief executive.

Due to join the business next year, she will replace Anthony Thompson who will be leaving FatFace in January after nine years.

Evans has headed up the Oasis and Warehouse fashion chains since 2013, although she originally joined the business in 2010. Her previous experience includes retail, womenswear and international roles at Mark & Spencer and head of selling for the retailer’s womenswear category and Per Una brand.

Lord Rose, chairman of FatFace, said: “I’m delighted that Liz will be joining us at an exciting time for the brand. She not only brings substantial experience of the UK and international clothing market, but understands our customers. Liz also joins at a positive time for the FatFace brand as trading is resilient and we are seeing the benefit of key infrastructure investment.

“I would like to thank Anthony on behalf of the board for his significant contribution to the company over the past nine years and wish him every success with his future plans.”
