Fabletics makes new hires as part of growth plans
Fabletics, the athleticwear line founded by actress Kate Hudson, has made a number of new hires as part of plans to grow the business.
Karen Pornillos has been appointed as vice president of design and fashion director. Previously vice president of women’s design at Lululemon, her past roles have also included working with Free People.
In a second appointment, Nancy Arnold has taken up the position of vice president, creative director after joining the business from Ann Taylor where she collaborated with Hudson on a capsule collection.
Meanwhile, Shefali Shah has become vice president of merchandising after working with Victoria’s Secret for ten years.
The trio will work alongside Fabletics senior vice president, chief merchandise and design officer Felix del Toro, who joined the company last year from Lululemon.
Fabletics is owned in partnership with Hudson by California based Tech Style Fashion Group.
Adam Goldenberg, chief executive of Tech Style, told WWD: “It’s crazy to think about how fast we’ve grown. Kate and I talk all the time about how do we continue to evolve the brand and ensure growth rate. How do we serve all of our customers?”
Offering an online subscription service, Fabletics sells in 10 countries, including the UK. It also operates 24 bricks-and-mortar stores in the US and is now planning to add a further 75 stores as it looks to have a presence in 100 locations in the US.
