Ex-WH Smith boss Kate Swann named as new CEO of SSP
Former WH Smith boss Kate Swann has been appointed as chief executive of SSP, the dedicated operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations.
Swann will join the business on 4 September, when she will succeed Andrew Lynch who is standing down after nine years in the role.
With a 23 year career in the retail industry, Swann was chief executive of WH Smith for ten years until she left the business on 1 July.
SSP chairman, Vagn Soerensen, said: "I very much look forward to working with Kate to continue developing SSP in the years to come. SSP will benefit from Kate's vast retail experience from WHSmith in accelerating growth and working with business partners, while continuously improving the customer experience."
Swann added: "I am delighted to be joining SSP and look forward to working with the team as we continue to grow the business and deliver for our customers."
