Dixons Retail hires new creative agency

Dixons Retail, the owner of Currys and PC World, has appointed Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO as its new lead creative and strategic agency for its UK and Ireland business.

The account was previously held by M&C Saatchi.

Benjamin Kaye, head of brand communications at Dixons Retail, said: “We are delighted to have AMV on board as we look to revitalise our UK marketing and advertising. Their excellent strategic and creative platforms really stood out, showing great differentiation, longevity and a focus on the customer being at the heart of everything we do.

“The final stage was a really tough call and we greatly appreciate all the hard work the three agencies put in – the presentations were outstanding. I would also like to thank M&C Saatchi who have provided a superb level of service and great creativity over a number of years.”
