Direct Wines appoints new commercial director
Direct Wines, the owner of the Laithwaite's wine merchant, has appointed Iain Muggoch to the newly created role of commercial director for the Laithwaite familys private vineyard operations.Having previously worked for Direct Wines from 1988 to 1994, Muggoch is returning to the company after having spent three years in South Africa and 15 years with Bibendum where he was buying director with responsibility for the Southern Hemisphere and North American portfolio.
In his new role, Muggoch will oversee and manage the Laithwaite family’s Bordeaux Estates, English Vineyards and Red Heads Studio winery in south Australia.

"This will be invaluable for delivering the continued success of the wines created by us and our friends as well as continue to strengthen our core wine values."
