Debenhams has launched the next instalment of its ‘Life Made Fabulous’ TV advertising campaign featuring its line-up of Designers at Debenhams.

Debenhams launches new Life Made fabulous campaign

Debenhams has launched the next instalment of its ‘Life Made Fabulous’ TV advertising campaign featuring its line-up of Designers at Debenhams.

Aired for the first time last night, the advert showcases the retailer’s summer clothing ranges and also includes appearances by designers Matthew Williamson, John Rocha, Sadie Frost, Jemima French and Stephen Jones.

The advert shows each designer in their studio adding the finishing touches to a garment. A close up of the product then transports the audience to the same item being worn by women in real life situations.

The advert sees milliner Stephen Jones make his first appearance in a Debenhams campaign with his recently launched ‘Top Hat’ collection. 

Debenhams’ marketing director, Richard Cristofoli said: "It’s exciting to be launching the next TV ad in our ‘Life Made Fabulous’ series with more designers and more breadth of product than we’ve ever had before. The advert demonstrates our commitment to both the successful Designers at Debenhams brand and to continually adding top new talent to our portfolio – such as Stephen Jones with his ‘Top Hat’ collection."

The advert follows the retailer’s Spring campaign featuring designers Ben de Lisi and Jasper Conran, which included Debenhams’ first standalone advert for the Principles by Ben de Lisi brand. It also builds on the success of the 2012 campaign which helped a Jonathan Saunders Edition red coat to become the retailer's fastest selling coat ever, with a 400% uplift in sales the first week of the advert.

Cristofolio added: "With ‘Life Made Fabulous’ we’ve found a formula that works. It really resonates with our customers who are responding to our brand promise and associate Debenhams with fantastic design and quality at affordable prices. Our campaign is constantly evolving and plays a pivotal role in the delivery of the business’ strategy, and it clearly drives sales."
