CSL introduces Lowest Price Guarantee to tempt shoppers
Sofa retailer CSL has introduced a new two-part lowest price guarantee which it claims will ensure that customers always get the best deal on their sofa even after they have bought it.
Through its Lowest Price Guarantee, the retailer will protect customers from future markdowns by agreeing to refund the difference in price if a sofa is reduced in an offer or promotion within six months of purchase. The refund will be given automatically without the customer having to contact the store.
In addition, the guarantee promises to refund the difference in price plus an additional 10% if customers can find the same product advertised and available from another supplier for less before their sofa is delivered.
Jason Tyldesley, managing director at CSL said: “The UK sofa market is well known for the seemingly endless sales and reductions offered by most of the mainstream retailers. This makes it difficult for the customer to have confidence in the price they’re paying for their goods.
“In an economic period where every penny counts, most households are budgeting their income more closely and so transparency and consistency in our pricing is ever more important. We understand that it is frustrating for shoppers to purchase an expensive item only for it to be marked down soon after.
“That’s why we’ve launched this revolutionary new pricing policy, to help change public perception that UK furniture retailers are always in sale and to demonstrate to our customers CSL’s commitment to year-round great value.”
The retailer said the guarantee will be made available at all 25 CSL stores throughout the UK and online.
