Costcutter interim results show group breaking all records

Costcutter Supermarkets Group has had a strong first half of the current financial year with sales increasing by over 10 per cent that equates to an average turnover of more than £12 million per week.

The group stated that sales for the first half of the year came in at £324 million and the forecast is that the business will achieve record sales of over £600 million for the full-year, which will be helped by planned new store openings.

Nick Ivel, managing director of Costcutter, says: “The number of stores in our group is also rising and we’re seeing significant volume growth too. We have new stores opening all the time and development projects to improve over 200 existing stores either in planning or underway.”
