Christmas comes early for Hawkin's Bazaar
Specialist gift and toy retailer Hawkins Bazaar is looking to expand its high street portfolio in time for the key Christmas trading period.
The retailer has appointed property specialists Williams Gunter Hardwick to look for up to 15 new high street premises on short term and some longer term leases.
The chain currently operates 26 outlets across the UK and has asked Williams Gunter Hardwick to find between 10 and 15 sites in prime locations. Hawkins is looking to open stores measuring between 1,200 and 2,000 square feet.
“The build up to Christmas is obviously the strongest trading period for Hawkin’s Bazaar,” said Steve Cullis of Williams Gunter Hardwick. He added: “The outlets do bring something extra to High Street and Shopping Centre locations – creating a busy feel and filling voids as well as driving footfall.”
