Celesio appoints digital director

LloydsPharmacy owner Celesio UK has appointed Matt Poole as digital director.

Poole has joined the business in a newly created role that reports directly to sales and marketing director, Nigel Swift.

In his new position, Poole will oversee all Celesio UK’s digital and ecommerce activities. This will include managing the online capabilities of LloydsPharmacy, wholesaler AAH Pharmaceuticals, and all Celesio UK brands.

Poole was previously at Boots where he spent over three years leading digital development. He also spent ten years at Ladbrokes.

Celesio UK managing director Cormac Tobin said: “I’m really excited that Matt is bringing his wealth of experience and unique thinking to our team. His expertise and vision will be a vital asset for our business as we face into the considerable challenges impacting the sector.”
