Cannock Shopping Centre bags new management duo
Cannock Shopping Centre has appointed a new centre manager and a centre administrator.
Susan McCarthy has returned to her family’s roots in Staffordshire to take up the post of centre manager. She was previously part of the team at the Roebuck Shopping Centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Prior to that, she worked in tourism and town centre management after moving from South Africa where she was a nurse.
McCarthy said: “This is a really exciting time for Cannock, with us hitting headlines for all the right reasons, and I am very proud to be joining the team. Being manager of a shopping centre means coming up with ideas all the time; you need to have a creative flair, as well as a vision of how you fit in with the rest of the town. This is absolutely my focus for the coming months – looking at how best to raise Cannock Shopping Centre’s profile and make it a great place to shop for the community, as well as new visitors.”
Also joining the management team is Terri Wall, Cannock’s new centre administrator. Originally from Birmingham, Wall has lived locally for over 20 years. Her former roles include community liaison for a local charity in Walsall, business support manager for a local authority, and marketing for Birmingham Airport.
Wall added: “I am bringing a wealth of experience with me to the role and I cannot wait to work alongside retailers, shoppers and partner agencies across the town to help make Cannock Shopping Centre a place where people want to be”
Cannock Shopping Centre has over 30 stores including Argos, Bright House, Costa, New Look and Specsavers. It is also home to a range of independents including Crazy Daisy, Fashion Factory and Trendy Tanya.
