Burt's Bees opens first UK pop-up store
US skincare brand Burts Bees has chosen Londons Seven Dials as the location for its first pop-up concept store in the UK.
Opening for three months from 1 May, the 350 sq ft ‘Pop-Up Hive’ in Monmouth Street features a design inspired by beekeepers with bespoke natural wooden furniture and hexagonal honeycomb style shelving and fittings. There are also a number of interactive areas including a ‘Lip Shade Finder Wall’ and a ‘Burt’s Mailbox‘ where shoppers can send a message to friends and family.
Burt’s Bees marketing managing Margaret McHugh said: “Monmouth Street is the perfect location for us in London given its unique mix of leading international brands that have created one-off stores and concepts. The Pop-Up Hive will offer an amazing experience as soon as shoppers enter, with individually thought out elements and details specifically related to the brand.”
Sam Bain-Mollison, head of group retail strategy and letting at Shaftesbury, added: “Burt’s Bees is a great brand and the bespoke concept is stunning and sets Seven Dials apart from other central London shopping destinations. The new addition is consistent with our strategy to create the very best line-up of international brands delivering concept stores or unique one-offs.”
