Burberry starts beauty partnership with Coty
During the past four years, Burberry has been elevating and repositioning its beauty offering. This has included launching the luxury fragrances such as My Burberry and Mr Burberry, redeveloping and relaunching its make-up range, and boosting sales of new fragrances in key markets.
In a statement, Burberry said it will continue to lead on creative elements of the business while benefiting from Coty’s beauty industry expertise and global distribution capabilities.
Marco Gobbetti, Burberry chief executive, added: “Following months of hard work to ensure a smooth transition, we are pleased that this strategic partnership, which brings together tremendous beauty experience and expertise, has begun. Burberry is incredibly proud of what has been achieved in the last four years and we look forward, with the support of Coty, to further building on these foundations.”
