BrandAlley UK eyes international growth

BrandAlley UK has said it is ready for international growth after sales reached a milestone £33 million in the year to end December 2012.

The online designer discount retailer will re-launch its website later this year as it looks to bolster its positioning as a leading luxury discount online department store. The new site will feature improved imagery and ease of use and will also allow the retailer to ship internationally for the first time from next year.

BrandAlley UK saw its sales in the last financial year reach £33 million for the first time. The company said the upward growth is expected to continue following changes implemented since its management buyout in January when the company separated from its French parent company and investor News International. 

Chief executive Rob Feldmann said: "This is an exciting time for the business and we are in a great position to pursue growth opportunities. With our recent autonomy we have a new website underway which will fit with our rightful position as the true home of luxury brands across fashion, home, beauty and lifestyle." 

With over 3 million members and five new sales on site each day, BrandAlley UK has seen its average basket size has increase by almost 10% to over £90 this year.
