BLOCH to dance into Seven Dials

BLOCH, the women’s technical dance and active wear retailer, is relocating its store in London’s Drury Lane to a new site in Monmouth Street in the Seven Dials shopping district.

Spanning 1,450 square feet, the shop will be set across two floors and will act as a showcase for the retailer’s ballerina street pumps, street-to-studio sneakers and the new BLOCH Studio active wear.

A spokesperson for BLOCH said: “Seven Dials is ideal for our relocation as it is one of London’s busiest shopping districts. We will be situated in a more fashion orientated area at the heart of theWest End, positioning us among emerging brands and in close proximity to the Royal Ballet School, perfect for those who desire specialist dance clothing, footwear and active wear.”

BLOCH will also offer tailored pointe shoe fittings. By moving to Seven Dials, the retailer will be joining other brands that offer personalised products including VanMoof, Nixon, Duke and Dexter, Le Labo, Laura Lee, Dinny Hall and Tatty Devine.

Addy Williams, senior retail portfolio manager at Shaftesbury, said: “The arrival of BLOCH at Seven Dials highlights the appeal of the destination for specialist retailers that deliver bespoke services. BLOCH is extremely highly regarded within their industry and add to our exciting array of international fashion brands in London’s West End whilst also being perfectly positioned to benefit from the local theatres and dance schools.”

Seven Dials has recently welcomed the first store outside the US for New York based lifestyle brand Away and a newly upsized store for men’s fashion label Farah. Both stores are situated on Earlham Street.
