Benetton unveils new interactive website
Benetton has launched a new website featuring fashion, editorial, multimedia and interactive content. The site has been designed in the style of an all-encompassing magazine, providing a platform for live events and includes social media elements to raise the profile of the brand online.
Launched to coincide with Benetton’s new autumn/winter collection, the
site includes a This Week area which offers weekly advice about looks to wear for various occasions with specially-shot videos and photos showcasing the perfect outfits to wear. There is also a virtual personal stylist to guide online visitors through the retailer’s product ranges.
The site features Benetton live web radio and United Songs of Benetton, a Facebook application allowing users to download exclusive material commissioned by Benetton. It also hosts the recently launched global blogging "hub" The United Blogs of Benetton and features a range of fashion trend news items and videos to support major in-store initiatives and events.
Benetton will offer visitors a selection of digital freebies and also plans to launch a range of Benetton web and mobile apps from September to Christmas.
