Belstaff appoints new chief executive
Belstaff, the Labelux-owned luxury clothing brand, has appointed Gavin Haig as its new chief executive.
Due to take up his new role on 21 July, Haig was most recently international managing director at Richemont flagship Cartier where he was responsible for global, commercial business and subsidiaries.
During his 25-year career in international luxury, Haig has worked in London, Paris and Geneva, and also spent 12 years in Tokyo where he was simultaneously president and chief executive of both Cartier and Richemont Japan.
Prior to Cartier, Haig worked with Alfred Dunhill and Wedgwood.
Labelux chief executive Reinhard Mieck said: “We are delighted Gavin will be joining Belstaff at such an exciting time in the brand’s development. He is an outstanding luxury leader with proven skills in all the areas that Belstaff will focus on in the years ahead.”
Haig added: “A rich heritage, iconic design, real technical innovation, authenticity and moto-inspired outerwear - Belstaff’s credentials are incredibly powerful. I look forward to working with the Belstaff team to bring the brand to a new global audience.”
