Aurora Fashions sees Christmas like-for-like sales rise 13%

Aurora Fashions, owner of fashion chains Coast, Oasis and Warehouse, saw like-for-like sales rise 13% in the five weeks to 31 December.

Gross profit increased by 9.2% while revenues grew by 13.5%.

Aurora said its Christmas trading was "strong" at all three chains with dresses selling particularly well.

In October Aurora launched a 90 minute delivery service at its UK stores to attract young shoppers.

The group operates 1278 stores in 33 countries and had retail sales of £500 million in the 13 months to February 2011.
