ASOS names new group chief financial officer

Online fashion retailer ASOS has appointed Helen Ashton as group chief financial officer.

Taking up her new role on 1 September, Ashton will succeed Nick Beighton who is now group chief operating officer.

Ashton has worked in senior management positions at Barclaycard, Lloyds Banking Group and most recently, debt management business Capquest. She has also held roles at Asda Group and GUS.

ASOS chief executive Nick Robertson said: "Helen brings an unusual combination of deep financial experience, combined with her track record in consumer facing and retail businesses. Helen has also been involved in significant change management situations and has demonstrated great leadership capability. We are delighted that Helen is joining us. This appointment also frees up Nick Beighton to focus completely on his operational responsibilities.”
