ASOS ahead of the game
Company expects the first half outcome to be marginally ahead of last year
Sales were up 47 per cent for the 6 months to 30 September 2009, with international sales up per cent for the period, representing around 25 per cent of total sales. During the period ASOS introduced lines from Gap and Mango, launched Menswear into their Outlet offer and introduced 'free returns' for all UK customers.
Active customer numbers reached 1.2m in September 2009, compared to 890,000 in September 2008. The group said it continues to view the outlook for the full year with confidence.
