Asda's marketing director joins Shop Direct Group

AsdaÂ’s Marketing Director, Jon Owen, is reported to have left the business in order to join Shop Direct Group. Owen leaves after only a year in the role.

Asda's marketing director joins Shop Direct Group

AsdaÂ’s Marketing Director, Jon Owen, is reported to have left the business in order to join Shop Direct Group. Owen leaves after only a year in the role.

The news follows the announcement last week that Simon King, Asda's chief operating officer, had also departed the business. King had joined Asda only six months ago to replace Andy Clarke following his promotion to CEO.

In his new role, Owen will report to Shop Direct Retail director Gareth Jones and will head up the group's Very brand.
