Asda launches £5 bonus as part of price guarantee scheme
Asda has announced that all customers spending £40 will be given £5 off their next bill in the run up to Easter.
The supermarket giant has pledged that each customer who spends £40 or more in store or online between 26 March and 7 April and checks their bill on the Asda Price Guarantee website will receive a £5 off £40 bonus voucher. This can then be redeemed against their next £40 shop in store until 22 April.
Asda said the Easter initiative follows the success of it Christmas £5 off £40 bonus which attracted 8 million hits to the APG website.
The APG, launched in 2010, promises that an Asda basket will always be 10% cheaper against an identical basket at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Morrisons. If not Asda will issue a voucher to make it so.
Andy Clarke, CEO and President of Asda, said: "Despite all the economic clouds, we still know mums want to celebrate with their families this Easter and the £5 voucher and APG combination will be a great help, just like it was at Christmas.
"The APG offers our customers year round reassurance that they will get the best value shop at Asda. The £5 bonus gives them an additional boost when we know it really matters."
