Argos appoints head of own brand
Lockley joins Argos from Johnson and Johnson where she was senior marketing director for Johnson’s Baby for the Europe Middle East and Africa region.
Her previous experience also includes three years at Boots delivering campaigns for the 17 Cosmetics and Botanics brands, and senior marketing positions at Pfizer, Virgin and L’Oreal.
Reporting directly to Argos marketing director Stephen Vowles, Lockley will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Argos’ own brands strategy, which is part of its transformation plan to become a digital retail leader announced in October 2012.
Vowles said: “Alyson joins us at a really exciting time for our own brand team, and one of her first priorities will be to oversee the exciting launch campaign for our new furniture and homewares power brand, Heart of House.”
Lockley added: “Argos has some fantastic own brands on offer; I’m really looking forward to building on the great work that’s already been done, particularly for Chad Valley and Heart of House.”
