Alison Loehnis promoted to chief executive of Net-a-Porter
Online luxury fashion retailer Net-a-Porter Group has promoted Alison Loehnis to the role of chief executive following founder and president Natalie Massenets departure earlier this year.
The move was announced as the much anticipated Yoox Net-A-Porter merger became effective this week.
Having initially joined Net-A-Porter in 2007 as vice president of sales and marketing, Loehnis then became the company’s president in 2011.
Speaking of her new role Loehnis said: “I am delighted and honoured to be taking on the role of president of The Net-A-Porter Group. The opportunities within the business for growth, development and innovation - values that have always been at the heart of our work - are now without boundaries as part of Yoox Net-A-Porter Group. I look forward to leading our talented teams as they continue to set the standard for luxury retail online.”
In her new position, Loehnis will focus heavily on m-commerce as over half of the retailer's traffic now comes from mobile.
Loehnis will report to Yoox founder Federico Marchetti who has become the chief executive of the merged business.
