Travis Perkins appoints managing director for BSS
Wickes owner Travis Perkins has appointed Angela Rushforth as the new managing director for BSS, its pipeline and heating solutions distribution business.
Rushforth joined the Travis Perkins Group in 2015 from builders merchants Ridgeons where she was managing director.
Her first role at Travis Perkins involved leading own brand development across the group. She was then promoted to the role of chief executive for Birchwood Price Tools and then became managing director for Benchmarx Kitchens and Joinery.
In her new position, Rushforth will report to Frank Elkins, Travis Perkins’ chief operating officer for trade merchanting.
Elkins said: “Angela has earned a reputation for her great leadership, and brings a wealth of valuable experience to BSS, having headed up a number of successful projects and businesses in our industry and beyond. She is passionate about customers and has great talent for developing and delivering hugely successful trade counter and digital customer propositions.”
Rushforth is replacing Kieran Griffin, who was recently appointed managing director for Travis Perkins’ builders merchant business.
