Made.com appoints chief operating officer

Furniture retailer Made.com has appointed Nicola Thompson to the newly created position of chief operating officer.

The role will include responsibility for the merchandising, logistics, supply chain, customer service and experience functions.

Thompson previously spent over five years with ASOS where her most recent role was global customer development director.

Philippe Chainieux, chief executive of Made, said: “Nicola’s wealth of experience and insight in leading business development across global markets will be instrumental in helping us to continue to expand our footprint in new and existing markets. We have some exciting developments coming across the business which she will be at the forefront of.”

The appointment is part of Made’s plans to develop its product range and grow its business worldwide. The brand currently has a presence in 11 markets across Europe.
