Budweiser appoints sales director for convenience and wholesale

Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I has promoted Sunny Mirpuri to the role of sales director for convenience and wholesale.

Due to take up his new position on 6 September, Mirpuri has worked with the business since 2008 and has held a variety of senior roles across the off-trade sales, finance and category management teams.

Most recently, he worked as commercial director with responsibility for several key grocery accounts.

In his new position, Mirpuri will be responsible for delivering continued growth and distribution across the brewer’s portfolio in the convenience and wholesale channel. The post was previously held by Jessica Markowski who was instrumental in shoring up supply and accelerating  digital transformation.

Mark Wingfield-Digby, off-trade sales director at Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I, said: “Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to Jessica. She leaves behind an incredible legacy, and we are so grateful for the strong team she’s put in place, as well as the transformation she’s lead in our business.”

“We are delighted to be promoting Sunny to the role of sales director for convenience and wholesale. Having worked in the business for over 10 years, he has a strong understanding of both our needs and the needs of our customers. His experience will be vital in driving continued growth in the convenience and wholesale channel, and supporting our customers as they navigate the challenges of the post-pandemic landscape.”
