Wyevale sells two garden centres

Wyevale has agreed the sale of two garden centres in separate transactions.

Its Springfield Garden Centre is being sold to Longacres Garden Centres while its Par Garden Centre is being acquired by Maidenhead Aquatics.

Both sites will continue to be run as garden centres following the sale. The transactions  are expected to complete during August and September respectively.

Anthony Jones, chief operating officer at Wyevale, said: “We are pleased to announce the sale of two more centres; one to a respected garden centre operator and one to an experienced concession partner. I would like to take the opportunity to thank our colleagues at Springfield and Par Garden Centres who have worked so hard for us over the years and wish them all the best under new ownership.”

The sale means that Wyevale will be operating 32 garden centres and six centres trading under license. These include 30 restaurants and 117 concessions with 114 partners.
