Wyevale sells six garden centres to Blue Diamond

Wyevale Garden Centre Group has sold a further six garden centres to Blue Diamond.

The move follows the sale of nine centres to the company in 2018.

The acquisition means that Blue Diamond now has a total 36 garden centres. The newly acquired centres include sites in Worcester, Canterbury, Hereford, Lower Morden, Rake and Tunbridge Wells. All sites will continue to operate as garden centres following the sales.

Alan Roper, managing director of Blue Diamond, said: “Geographically all the centres are a perfect fit and enable us to deliver our full Blue Diamond proposition.”

The sales are expected to complete in mid-September.

Anthony Jones, chief operating officer of Wyevale, said: “Alan and the team’s decision to take on six more sites is testament to both the strength of our garden centres and the level of trust and confidence that has developed between the WGC and Blue Diamond teams through this sale process.”
