WH Smith extends partnership with King Power Group to Singapore

WH Smith has expanded its franchise partnership with King Power Group to include Singapore.

This follows on from a previous franchise partnership deal that the retailer signed with the group for Hong Kong.

The new partnership will help WH Smith to explore new opportunities for stores in rail and metro stations, ferry terminals and commercial centres, although stores in Singapore airportswill remain directly managed by WH Smith.

Phil McNally, WH Smith managing director for international, said: “We are pleased to have extended our partnership with King Power Group, which will assist us in growing the presence of WH Smith across Singapore. We continue to be ambitious about expanding the WH Smith brand in Asia and, today, we are active and strongly growing in six countries in the region – in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, India and China.”

The King Power Group has over 25 years’ travel retail experience in the Asia Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.
