Wallis launches Personal Stylists
Womensear retailer offers lifeline to time-poor professionals
July 29 2003
Womenswear retailer Wallis has introduced a Personal Stylist service into 28 of its UK stores.
Aiming to meet the ever-increasing demands on time-stretched women, the Arcadia-owned high-street fashion chain hopes to increase its appeal to more aspirational customers.
The Personal Stylists have been selected from current Wallis staff for their fashion knowledge and their expertise in creating and moulding looks and trends to meet individual customer tastes. All Stylists have good customer service credentials and an in-depth knowledge of the Wallis collections.
Customers can make an appointment with the Personal Stylist, although appointments do not have to be pre-booked. The Stylist will meet with the customer in a private changing room reserved and talk them through their preferred colours and personal style.
Stylists will be available to give advice on style, garment fit and colours, assist customers on their existing wardrobes and create new, seasonal wardrobes when appropriate. Stylists will also advise customers when new product arrives in store and if required, create client files in readiness for the next appointment.
Anne Secunda, Wallis brand director, said: “This is a great initiative for Wallis and we’re proud to be able to launch it in so many stores. The incredibly fast-paced and high-maintenance lifestyles of today mean that our customers need to look and feel smarter and more stylish than ever, but the demands on their time mean that they may not be able to sift through all the options themselves.
“This new service speeds up the process, but also personalises it, making it friendlier, more relaxed and enjoyable, but still as satisfying at the end.”
