The Entertainer to open stores in Truro and Northampton
High street toy retailer The Entertainer is to open two new stores this spring in Truro and Northampton.
The new openings will bring the company’s total number of UK outlets to 133. It also has nine stores overseas.
Each of the new stores will span more than 2,500 square feet. The Truro shop will be The Entertainer’s first store in Cornwall and will be situated on the high street. The Northampton store will be joining the line-up at the Grosvenor Shopping Centre in the town centre.
With both stores set to launch ahead of the Easter holidays, they will be organising Grand Opening Days with activities in store, special costume character appearances, in-store demos for the latest hot toys and special seasonal promotions. Each shop will also celebrate its Grand Opening with a special trolley dash for a local charity.
The Entertainer’s founder and managing director Gary Grant said: “We have a solid footprint right across the UK on both the high street and in shopping centres. We are really excited to be expanding our retail base early on in 2017, and are particularly excited to be opening our first toy shop in Cornwall, which will be our furthest store west in the UK.”
